Some people

Well I phoned a few pigeon fanciers in my local area today one has gave up due top ill health and the other was a ignorant c you next Tuesday sort of make me think twice about the sport   

At least you guy on here are helpful and understanding   

why whats up danny....? did you want info from them ?

We are not all bad Dan but you will meet a few arse holes mate just take no notice they are just wasters

Yea thanks lads just wanted to know if there was any north road clubs local but found out there's not

Quite a few will never help you. In the Club. Or otherwise. Canada here but originally from West Hartlepool. 60 years ago. The same worldwide. Why they do not help? Small minded ass holes who want to be a legend in their own mind. Keep the newcomers down or feed them mis-information. Club win is good. Fed win is better. Good returns regardless of position are much better. At least you know they are coming. Matter of time before you get up in the top. Stick with it. Learn all you can and adapt the advice to your own way of doing things. Widowhood, darkening system whatever. Whatever keeps you and your birds happy! If you are happy and your birds are happy then just a matter of tweaking the management. The best person in the Club is usually the one who just sits there and seldom speaks. Unless asked. Just make sure you shake him or whatever. Old fart may be dead!

Don't give up yet Danny etc. There are more good people around than bad for what I have found in the sport. Not good thou when you just happen to come across a few A*******s early in the piece unfortunately like you have experienced. Over time & with a bit of luck you will find/make some mates/friends that will be more than happy to help you down the track in the sport I suspect.  

You can always ask on here mate every one on this site are honest and helpful....Think you will find that with pigeons its a learning thing and as every year goes by you slowly get things better in the lofts, it takes years and each year you change something which went wrong last year.

I have kept pigeons since I was 6, I first raced at 14, and I am now 45, I learned something new about my pigeons this week, so next year I will be a better fancier than this year, I wonder what I will learn next year???
