| yes i thought so ,as you say thats his business, but just be honest if it others things we,ll not call him for that..i hope he sorts it out ......we are all different ,i could,nt imagine like without my birds even if i only had 2 i would still have them myself,or even if i helped someone else i would have to be involved in some way or other |

| i think the losses are enough to force people to pack in, must be gut wrenching with a season like we had.
I suspect it will be finances (although maybe not in this case) that turn the sport upside down, when i sent to the yb races with food, training, racing etc it was costing £100 a week which isnt acceptable on our income and thats with a small team by todays standards.
I earn nice money for someone reasonably uneducated sitting in an office at my desk however not really enough to race pigeons week in week out hence deciding to have a go at the BICC and NFC etc |

| Everyone loses pigeons especially from from long distance races because they cannot all be good birds but losing more than say half of your birds once racing begins from less than 170 miles is not acceptable. The best thing to do is to keep records of the stock pairs and breed at least 6 to 8 ybs from each and then see what birds are left at the end of the short young bird season and which pairs bred them. A lot of fanciers on various chatsites seem to think that because they lost their Young birds then they will breed some more young pigeons (latebreds) from the same "failed stock birds". The best move is to Eliminate the stockbirds and get some better ones, it will save time and money in the longrun. |
