| morning legs, glad to hear your getting your white pigeons......the breeder is right, you need to get them out in their new surrounds as soon as you can, hopefully they wont be too strong on the wing so they can have a look around the loft without going too far. remember to have them hungry, as this is the only way to control ybs at this age. good luck......... |

| Hi merrylegs you seem to have started the right way yes he is right in what he tells you but dont be to hasty, you need a let out point so they can come out when they want to dont go in and chase them out and dont feed befor you let them out so they are a bit on the hungry side so you may be able to get then back in for you, you that is just starting with pigeons is a bit of a squieky bum time but you will soon get the hang of it and good luck to you, allways try to take the easy way or what suetes you dont make it hard if you make it hard you wont enjoy your birds |

| I would open the loft door, walk 2 yards away from your loft and let the bird sit on your hand look around, and then it will fly back into the loft, keep increasing the distance until your half way up the garden. they will soon get the hang of it.
If you've got a trapping system put some food in the food trough, and pick your youngen up and drop it through the trap once or twice.
With youngens once they've learned how to eat I feed them once a day only, that way you have maximum control and can teach them much easier. |

| Thanks I was putting them up at my stables ,but we got broke into a couple of weeks ago, so now i a bit wary. Plus the guy next door is burning garden waste most days and the smoke can be terrible So Im thinking of having them at home. I have a big run that i had my chickens in . I thought i could put my old garden shed in it Down side neighbours and not as much room. |
