have heard of people leaving the water overnight because of the cloreide etc but ive never bothered and just gave it to them straight from the tap........with all the wierd and wonderful potions some give their birds i dont see tap water doing them any more harm..... if its good enough for me to drink id say its good enough for the pigeons to drink, having said that im not saying our water is as good as it could/should be.....

funny this subject has come up I was thinking this last season, after watching a jansen video they drew water from a well the best spring water for the best pigeons in the world. i thought might be something in it so this season I am putting one loft of youngsters on mineral water from tesco,s its about £1.00 for 8 litres.

Yes I have 2 seperate youngbird lofts this year, my old loft which is 2 sections and a new loft in the attic where I work. Its still in my garden but further behind my lofts. Maybe this loft will fly different anyway, but Im going to try mineral water in this one it will be easier for me too, because its a bit out of the way and there is no water in that shed, so bottled water will work well. will be interesting to see what happens.

But a lot of fanciers see the price £7.50 and the next one £12.00 most of them will go with the £12.00 because of the price it must be the best one
