true steve, it would take a lot of bidding by a lot of members to overload the server, a lot more members than we have anyway..........so dont be put off bidding with the idea the server is going to overload. No clown

hope there will be ian, would have been more of a rush i think if the bidding had started off with lesser amounts, but with some starting at 50 and 60 pounds i cant see the rush being that big to be honest........hope we can get some more bids tho as we all know its for a good cause and will help the club continue with its racing. Very Happy

I think at the moment they are good value for money, as a lot of the lots are for a pair of youngsters, it must cost nearly a tenner to rear a youngster!

lets hope there is a rush on Saturday for Ken's sake Wink

hope very much theres a mad rush on for the auction, i know ken will be over the moon with the responce he has had so lets hope it goes up even more..........i think if i could get ybs for £10 each every year i wouldnt bother breeding them, id just buy them in........surely it costs more than a tenner to rear a yb properly. scratch

David, it was tongue in cheek when I said a tenner, but if you think about it a bag of corn costs about a tenner, and I haven't used 30 bags of corn rearing my babies Shocked

how much do you think it costs?

fred, when you talk about costs of breeding ybs it all depends on what you consider to be involved, some might include the initial outlay of parents, some might include treatments before and after breeding........then there is corn, if you use such products as hormoform, minerals grit or vitamins etc, like i say.......if i could buy ybs every year for £10 each then i would, i dont just mean any old rubbish either i mean decent birds.

what price would you put on breeding a yb fred.......?

There are some great youngsters put up for auction for this very worthy cause, they will make what they make, good luck to all the purchasers.
