| hope very much theres a mad rush on for the auction, i know ken will be over the moon with the responce he has had so lets hope it goes up even more..........i think if i could get ybs for £10 each every year i wouldnt bother breeding them, id just buy them in........surely it costs more than a tenner to rear a yb properly. |

| David, it was tongue in cheek when I said a tenner, but if you think about it a bag of corn costs about a tenner, and I haven't used 30 bags of corn rearing my babies how much do you think it costs? |

| fred, when you talk about costs of breeding ybs it all depends on what you consider to be involved, some might include the initial outlay of parents, some might include treatments before and after breeding........then there is corn, if you use such products as hormoform, minerals grit or vitamins etc, like i say.......if i could buy ybs every year for £10 each then i would, i dont just mean any old rubbish either i mean decent birds.
what price would you put on breeding a yb fred.......? |

| There are some great youngsters put up for auction for this very worthy cause, they will make what they make, good luck to all the purchasers. |
