| ah right, ive just got some yb mix from crowthers with no maize........thought id put them onto this while they are young and then maybe change if needed for racing, just wanted to see what other members did. think this was around £9.50 a bag steve............not bad i thought as it looks quite a decent mix. |

what is geri plus then ian, a widowood mix.....? i just got a bag of yb mix for when ybs are weaned then was going to put them onto maybe a widowhood mix for training/ranging and racing, altho when we raced before we used to feed the w/hood cocks on w/hood mix but always fed the ybs on yb mix all the time even for racing and the flew well and won their fair share.... |

| Gerry Plus is a young bird mix which is done by versa larger, its good for sprint racing fast races but needs extra added to it for extra mileage when needed |

| Ian it's what is used in my area for sprint racing as the youngbirds don't put loads of weight when feed it. But maize is added when the races turn hard and the wind is on there noise thats when the extra carbs are needed (maize) as geri plus does not provide the extra needed If you look closer no one uses it as the widow cocks need a little more as is in the commonly used widowhood mixtures. |
