| Hi All, this will be my 1st year in the pigeon world I have 13 birds at the moment most are 2013 birds, not having mush luck with breeding so Im looking for either some young 2014 birds to start my racing with or old birds to help with breeding my own birds. Thanks all, Tony (Liverpool) |

Nice 1 Ray, any help anyone can offer is a good start for me at the moment. Hopefully my birds pick up and crack on with the breeding I just dont wont it to be to late in the year for me to have ago at racing them. I am signed up to race young birds this year and at the moment I have 1 chick at 2days old and a few eggs, I have lost 2 chicks over the last 2 weeks at a week old. Cheers, Tony |

| Could be a number of things tony, my advice would be to give your new club secretary a call and ask if one of your members could take a look at your birds and your loft. How old are the stock pigeons your breeding from.

| could be a number of reasons tony.......maybe you could tell us how you feed, and how many times a day you feed ? also the chicks may be getting trampled due to fighting etc, let us know whats happening and what your management methods are and maybe someone can point you in the right direction. |

Alrite Boosey, most of the birds are 2013 I'd say 9 birds out of the 13 that I have. Not total sure of Cocks and Hens. At the moment I have open boxes with pans in each some of the birds have in the passed made a nest on the floor. Looking in at 7am today 1 Hen now has 2 young Monday and Today so hopefully these make it, the Hen is a late (June) breed bird 2013. I feed 2 times a day 7am and 6pm with a pot of soft food in boxes with chicks all day. Hope this helps mate, Tony |

Alrite David, if you read the post before this one mate..... The boxes are all open fronts so when you say about birds fighting should I put fronts on them ? Thanks for your help, Tony |

Thanks David, she has nested there before but I moved it thinking she would be ok but then went back again so I then put the nest in a pan and she has taken the nest out of the pan and nested behind it and on the floor but she and the eggs are looking fine Tony |
