| Hi david, maybe feeding them up much as they want thursday they'll have no healthy appetite come friday morning? Might be sending them on an empty tank, possibly ok for short races but get a nose ender or down the road a bit then they gonna struggle?

| Mine got measured amounts all week building them up like widowhood feeding, then friday fed generously till one or 2 went to the drinker, always @7am -8am then nothing else all day but a couple peanuts each before basketing. No exercise on fridays, I know I havent raced for a while and times change but I done well with yb's and loved yb racing. Best of luck for the weekend |

I would give them a normal feed but not as much as they want Light feed Friday morning then a light feed again about 1 or 2 o'clock but then take water out the loft then replace clean water in the loft a few hours later the youngsters will all go for water and then you know they have had a drink |

| Food in the crop is weight. Keep it normal. Friday am feed then leave them alone. Any change of their regular routine upsets them. |

i always feed mine main meal 10 am friday morning , then they are not sick in the crates when traveling Simple isn't Steve problem for those that cut back on the feed on basket day etc is they also cut back on the water in take that the birds have/take & that for what I have found, can be more of a major problem for the birds. ***** |
