PostSubject: pigeon killed   pigeon killed EmptyWed Feb 24, 2010 7:49 pm

Very Happy Hi lads just thought I would share this with you all as its so unusual. A woman called at my house today asking about the pigeons, she had a dead one with her in a bag. When I asked her what had happened to it she said she was watching TV when the pigeon flew through a doulble glazed window and landed on the dinning room floor, smashing the window, now that must have been a very fast pigeon, any thoughts ? I said it must have been chaised. I have heared of birds hitting windows but not going strieght through??? Shocked

scratch Same here, I saw the pigeon it was very bloody but not as bloody as her floor according to her. Now she said double glazing thats 2 pains of glass...mental. Shocked It was a streeter no ring, I might call at her hose and have a look, someone in the village told her I had pigeons she thought it was one of mine?

martyn, i cant see a streeter going through a sealed unit, after all a pigeon is skin and bone and doesnt weigh very much at all does it ? in fact you can stand and throw a house brick at a sealed double glazed unit and it would bounce off 9 times out of 10........ scratch

I hate streeters as they bring this sport of ours down because people who don't know the sport of racing pigeons think they are all the same flying rats

AND WE ALL KNOW DIFFERENT HAY

i think thats why no one seems to understand about the bop problem because they dont understand that our birds are not just streeters/vermin.........they are a totally different thing when you think about it and compare them, the genaral public dont understand the problem mainly thats why the rpra should try get them educated about whats going on........ Evil or Very Mad

Agree with you on that one Ian, the streeters must have the best immun system compared to the common racing pigeon
