| In the drinkers mate
Posted a comment about this sometime back and Ian said he was going to use it
4 Pint fountain place 2 tablespoons of clear honey and squeeze of lemon juice, the one you get from the supermarket in a platic yellow container shaped like a lemon
Then add a little luke warm water which will help the honey and lemon to desolve once this is done then top up with tap water
Never use boiling hot water as this kills some of the goodness withinthe honey
Only ever used this once the pigeons had returned |

| I have heared of lots of different things used after races. I supose the way to think of it is what would you want to drink after running or hard exercise. I play squash and you loose a lot of water and salts, as pigeons dont really sweat like us and believe me its galons, I supose plain water or a little honey for energy would be good, But for me I think cross infection from other birds should be considered, picked up from the water troughs in the transporter, so lemon juice or cider vinegar would be good to get the crop acidic and kill those bugs. Then after the first few drinks and later in the day swap to electos or honey. |

| Hi Martyn, would not say it made the birds win but i could see the difference when i stopped using it for 2 seasons then used it again
Martyn will say that when i boxed after a hard training session and low sugar levels would have a energy drink
Using the Honey can help replace the sugar for energy and the lemon can help clean the gut from bad bacteria |
