yes we had a yb exchange for a few years mark, it was very interesting, and we did get quite a few members joining........the main thing that spoilt it was courier fees, the member who got the ybs paid courier charges, it all worked out fair re cost, but I think it was the cost that killed it off.

Hi Mark yes it was a good scheme it was a chance to try one of your birds in another persons hand amd methods , as only what you thought would be a good pigeon was put in the exchange new blood at a low cost if that makes sence

that would be a better idea f/walker, when we did it we only did 2 ybs each, 4 or 6 would make it more worth while re courier charges........

GPS chip would not work really. Doubt if you folks in the UK have it but snow blindless tends to be a factor here when letting them out in Winter. All is white. Different. So never let them out in Winter.

Only good accumalation of snow I saw in the UK was visiting my girl friends fathers brothers farm. Place called Blubberhouses. Yorkshire. Typical stone fences. House had chickens laying eggs on the sofa. Heat was a woodstove. Gas lanterns. No electricity. Rented cows to milk from the local Co-Op. Hand milking. 2 year old kid would get besides a cow and squirt milk in to his mouth. Fortunately times change!
