To any newbie in the sport Don what Alan D does would appear cruel at first glance I suspect. But 3 days without food for healthy pigeons really is nothing from my perspective, tho I would worry about the water issue. But then I wouldn't argue with a man that has won 7 nationals etc .

I understand were you are coming from but not every fancier do things the same but it was what I read in one of the pigeon books, I did read that the reason for this was to break the cycle within the pigeons which helps clean them out also

Not helping the worm manufacturing maker's with their potions, in our sport is he George etc. Spreading that type of wisdom/information .

a bit of glory in the pigeon world which is fine but as far as I am concerned I like to adopt a different role and look in the mirror in the morning knowing I have not used or abused and done right by the birds.ffs where has the enjoyment gone in racing its not all their is in life

Fair comment O/S at the end of the day etc the mirror senaro has to be the the way we judge ourselves in all matters I suspect. If one has a conscience of any value, type of thing.

George it has been a few years ago but i thin you are correct it was to help with worms and any other bad bacteria within the pigeons gut
