| well i looked at it again tonight and it does look slightly swollen, but has no damage I think its got big feet, but lets face it why cant they be a few thou bigger. We cant cheat theres no way if it was 1 mm bigger you could get it on an adult bird so lets have them a bit biger for bigger birds. I havent got big pigeons either the parents are average size, but the cock has got big feet too. |

| Yes I bet they are more difficult. I have rings for our club here as Im secretary and sometimes you get a ring on the end string with no plastic coating on it just the alloy. It looks a bit like the old rings just aluminium I have lots of old rings, so I put this blank against a whu 1980 ring and its diameter inside is smaller, so our rings are smaller than in the past. |

just experrimented with one of mine and nipped the lugs off with nail clippers, still left a rough bit stuck up so ill give it a file with maybe sand paper (wet and dry etc) but by what ive seen altho i dont like the combi i think ill leave them alone for now as it only needs a member to complain over how they have been removed and say they dont think the ring is valid, then the bird could be disqualified........ |
