what do you give and how often ...Alfie takes great pride in this chore Laughing we put 4 clay pots inside a small feeder 1 has oyster shell 1 has redstone 1 has black mineral 1 has pink mineral and clay block is given weekends ...what do other members use

I make my own mix up consists of mixed grit , back and red minerals , clay block , linseed ,and sea salt only a little .they get it every day changed every 2days Very Happy

I read were in USA they had done trials on birds kept in loft for 2 years and not fed any grit what they did discover was that pigeons use juices in the stomach to digest and break down the corn not grit what I've been trying to do is find the university to find out the results so far before you say birds need grit every day they don't get grit in a holdover no mater how long the holdover lasts and still fly home which could be 500mls or more I don't feed girt but sometime I may give a little small flint chick grit but not often one thing I do give is cress 3 times a week which is full of vitamins and minerals

old strain we use a tub same size as matrix we put 3/4 of tub of mixed grit 1/3 of a little bag of pink minerals and 2 clay blocks crumbled into it and mix well
