| As this is my first year back in the sport, The breeding part is the most important part of my loft, The future of my family foundation will be found. So its very important i prepare well over the next few weeks, I have been doing a lot of research on the breeding side of our sport, and there are many views of how breeding should be carried out. What is the best time of year many ask, The main thing is breeding should only take place, If the birds are fit enough to breed from. Every think must take its cause, after a stressful time of moulting, the birds then need to be prepared for breeding, so giving them time to recover from the moulting period is paramount. Only when we feel that has taken place, we can then move on too the next cycle, and that is the breeding. That is just my thoughts. |

yes that is a draw back mark most years of late the weathers been kind in winter prompting more to breed early we will be pairing boxing day this year we dont normaly pair till feb 20th time so what effects its going to have we dont know yet but we wont be racing the young cocks on darkness the last 3 years the hens have dominated so we see no point were gona give um a few races then let them mature |
