racing hens on widdowhood

going to try a dozen hens on widdowhood anyone raced this system do you lock the hens up
feed in boxs train etc

We fly our hens in a section on there own let them exercise and train and.feed them in it then Friday basketing let a couple of.cocks in let.them run about for a few minutes then basket them when the first few arrive let them have a while with the couple of cocks or if you have a small basket put it on the floor with a cock in Friday before you basket them you will be surprised at how they race.

Lock them up,,those who say they don't pair are lying...fresh hens will pair up not locked up or discouraged from doing so

Got to say Steve is a top quality fancier and what he pens on the paper is pure quality also

ile give it a try we have some good hens shame to waist um

they can be a nightmare pairing up in the winter but found usually 1 pair keep the others off the floor ,I got grills down ,v perches with dividers between rows,and a board beneath v perches 18inch deep at a 45 degree angle and things have been ok although you can see they are a bit frisky borderline if you like,i had mine on roundabout last year but gonna tinker it a bit this year
