Racing Pigeon Weekly £1.10p !!!!

just been up for me r/p weekly and its gone up 11 pence !!!!

they are taking the p*ss

don't buy them anymore david I cancelled my order in protest at the rpra clowns besides toilet paper is cheaper and contains about the same info its all sales and products and sponsors adverts

Well that paper won't be around much longer at that price.

haven't had the rp for years wasn't any good then don't think its changed now

its a pi*s take, theres nothing worth reading in it anyway.....putting it up a penny or two is bad enough, but to put it up 11p is scandalous....

im thinking about not bothering ray, I said it when it went up last time to 99p.

I don't read it our barry does.he will still get it though

Sounds about right David Down here etc the 3 muskerteers work on the 10% scenario for just about everything under the sun here now. Trouble is there are few that can do figures better than they can but they have a rule if any suggestion is going to upset any of the chook farmers it finishes up on the bottom of the pile of correspondance, never to be seen again. Example !0% rule the old 400 mile stage was 468 miles & now with there 10 % rule it's 403 & the chook farmers are stil not happy I'm .

Not a chocolate man Shippy I like a man that has the power to say no unfortunately I'm not one of them sadly I'm a cherry ripe man here & I force myself to have one a night etc  to keep my weight down .

im not right until ive had my chocolate fix and my 8 sugars in my brew each day .......

Reminds me O/S of my wife  she bought an ice cream cake etc "Yummy yummy yummy" here the other day for a special event that's happening today here as I speak. Long gone before the big event & the main man got one small slice      just to let him know what he missed out on as such.

I started getting the Racing Pigeon and BHW 'On Line' at the beginning of this year after not having had it for years.

I was surprised at how much advertising there is in it. As has been said - nothing but adverts and stuff they want you to buy.

If it had good articles in the RP magazine, maybe it would be worth buying. But right now, it is hardly worth opening.

HOWEVER - if we don't buy the racing pigeon comics, BHW included, how are we going to keep abreast of things that are happening in our sport.

I guess, occasionally there are interesting things in these two pigeon mags, and it would be a shame to miss-out on the latest innovation or success by a good fancier. How would we have ever heard about ETS, if if wasn't for these publications.

Maybe a 'Boycott' of the RP (and possibly the other one) may bring the editors to their scenes. Why don't we ALL write to the editors of the magazines and tell them, that we are very unhappy with the garbage they are putting in their papers and that the massive hike in price is 'out of order' and NOT acceptable. Tell them if they don't pull their fingers out of their a....s - we will STOP buying their materials.

If enough of us complain, they HAVE to do something or fold the paper!

Interesting thoughts Phil . 2 things management there I suspect wouldn't give a rats a**e if every man & his dog wrote in & complained as such about the problems/issues there. Also the internet, could fill ones brain with information in relation to pigeons etc & one isn't required to be one of the intelligent types to find it either .
