| I have decided not to send they are going to basket tonight but theirs no chance of a liberation tomorrow from truro with mist and total cloud cover and rain throughout the day why is our fed stupid enough to still basket Friday night for a 140 mile race and put the birds in the baskets for a holdover with Thursday basketing the following week ...feck me the mind boggles or is the driver in control of the federation some people make pigeon racing so complicated ,this decision benefits people not the pigeons |

It sounds as if you peeps will be having a bit of a rough time this weekend. I see no sense sending good quality birds to races when you know they will hit bad weather or be held over in crates. All the very best to those of you that are sending and let us hope for 100% returns - in GOOD times. Yours in Sport Phil |

| [quote="David"]i dont know phil, over the channel as far as i know....... [/quot Boves is in the area of France called Picardy. It is 530 kilometres or 230 miles to Bristol according to Google Earth - but less as the pigeon flies. I reckon it's about the same distance as I used to fly from Cholet to Stroud, Glos. We topped the Fed from their once in a lifetime, about 15 years ago. Good luck anyway - let us know how you get on. Phil |
