| got the update they are taking the piss , there is no lib today, but they will give us another update later in the day, when are they going to realise it aint going to happen, the birds should now be brought home. |

| just checked the weather if it tells the truth, not sure of my distances , but should be around 3 and half hours to 4 for a decent bird, but i dont think this is a true race anymore ? |

| no, it isn't a true race after this length of time in the basket, and a liberation tomorrow might be cancelled again....I know some might want a race after all the trouble that's been gone to but maybe the birds welfare should come first now.
altho what sort of distance will they be racing, is it far...? |

| i think 170 to 180 miles to me, but there are plenty behind me, and rain closing in fast all around. |

| might be fairer on the birds to bring them home......the small window tomorrow might be too small or none existant judging by our forecasts in the uk. |

| says on mnfc website 17 / 18 birds per crate....and birds are looking ok, I think if they are not let go early tomorrow they should bring them home. |

| yes its a long time, and if I had birds there I`d be concerned for them by now.......its not far off a week in the basket.
I expect there will be plenty of members complaining over it by now. |

| thing is what does it take out of the birds for anymore races this season ...will they catch anything in the baskets ...if its been damp weather it cant be good for the birds cooped up all that time ,hope ya get good returns tomorrow anyhow |

| yes your right Darren, its things like you mention being cooped up for nearly a week in the basket.....damp, or humid conditions ...it could have an effect a week or so later eh ?
