| Thanks guys, I've tried the usual suspects and can't find any, perhaps they're not made anymore, just keep an eye on eBay in case something comes up |

Do you mean 'Thimbles' for the T3 clocks? If so, I need some as well, if you have any joy, can you let me know please. Cheers Phil |

| no phil, he means inserts which are placed into the chambers, which mean you don't have to use a thimble......you just put the rubber directly into the clock. |

| they are very good phil, the T3 I use has them fitted........I think the blue faced T3 come with a thimble less drum fitted, but im not sure......I know you can get them converted, but as ets is gradually taking over, would it be worth it.
they must be somewhere who still sell the inserts. |

they must be somewhere who still sell the inserts. Hi David I have just got a second hand T3 from Ray (Peel Bros) and I am trying to find thimbles for it. But the Inserts sound a great idea. However, like the other member asking about Inserts, I can find no one that sells them. Phil |

| To follow up on lofty's posting regarding Inserts for the Junior T3.
I have contacted a lot of companies today to see if I can get us any. I was told that Linell instruments were the people to go to, but this is what I got back this afternoon from them:-
My email to Linell's:-
I am looking for some Inserts for Junior T3 clock.
Do you have any and if so what price are they please.
Also, do you have any or the original coloured Orange T3 thimbles? Again, if so how much are they.
Kind regards Phil
This is their reply:-
Dear Phil,
We do not use the Click n clock as they are nothing to do with us, we also would not recommend them as they do jam the clocks, which would cost you to have repaired. We are JUNIOR! We do our own drum conversion to thimbleless we are not allowed to do certain chambers it is all the drum using brass flappers £45 plus £12 carriage to Mainland ONLY.
We have the blue thimbles in stock now £3.85 for a pack of ten plus P&P.
Regards Suzanne
So I don't know what to do now Lofty. Do you have any ideas or have you found out anything?
Cheers Phil |

| I like the inserts, never had them jam......I think any thimble if it fits will be ok, I doesn't need to be the original there are replacements which will be just as good. |

Yes David - that is what I was told by a couple of companies yesterday. Maybe lofty and I will have to shelve the idea. Phil |

| My link posted earlier for the Pigeon Clock Museum is all you need for inserts. Erwin Basch the proprietor is well up to speed on T3`s.
If you take a T3 needing a service to the Blackpool show he will exchange it for a T3 with inserts for £70, maybe cost more now though.
Contact by email I am sure he could sort out inserts for anyone needing them. |
