Been sorting the young cocks and hens out yesterday, and when I was checking to see how many flights they have left to moult, I noticed on a young red chequer that his last but one has come through and is covered with blood, anything to worry about, or just a badly moulted flight scratch

nothing to worry about just give him warm baths he will be fine , he will be sore that's all , its like a child cutting its teath cheers

Thanks Steve, the bottom of the flight where it leaves the wing and the quill is bloody, just looks a bit dodgy, as long as he'll be ok I'm happy

dip the bird in some warm water do it early so it has plenty time to dry off before night
