| Pigeons will adapt to any thing. There is about 25 wild ones live in the old barn. Some times when it gets to -32 C (0 F) I figure they will die but they never do. They dodge the raptors and scrounge all winter. Waterers. The type I use. It is wise to drill a hole in the top and seal in a 2 inch piece of dowel. Stops the birds landing on the top as sometimes the weight will skid off the waterer when low on water. My method is to put a small piece of duct tape on 2 sides of the tin lid. Works fine. Stops sliding. |
