| does any members feed differently when they put the ybs onto the dark.......? or do they still feed exactly the same.......? what minerals/vitamins do they give as i read somewhere that darkness ybs can be prone to anemia due to lack of sunlight. |

| im feeding same corn verse laga diet 1000, 2 types of grit minerals pink black and iodenised and on a cold night a tot of whisky for me |

| usually give matrix which has minerals etc in it, but when i go to crowthers this week im thinking of getting extra minerals like those pickstone things they have.........hard pink stuff, dont know exactly what it is tho` |

| david I give matrix birds do love it, but I mix it 50-50 with normal grit to make it go further, I used to use pick stones in a wrapper natural ones, my birds just destroyed them in a day in the end I left them in the wrappers and let the birds pick them to get them out ,still only lasted 2 days ..so I have stopped using them. just loose grit and minerals now. |

| hi martyn, ive found that once my birds have had matrix they wont touch ordinary grit or the grit with the red brick in it...... |

| I have said before that I thought matrix was a bit of a con, as its full of small seeds to get them eatin it, it looks like they love it but actually they are only eating the seeds ..but I take it back I mix it with ordanary grit to make it go further, but they empty the pot so they do eat it all. |

| mine eat all the matrix i give them, ineed to be careful because as we all know when feeding ybs the parents gorge on grit etc if we let them............. |
