Something Strange Going On ...

a while ago I went into my loft and was just looking at the birds like we do, then noticed a certain pigeon was missing, I checked around the loft and found no sign of him or any holes etc, and also couldn't think of any reason he had disappeared as I would have seen him go out of the door if I was feeding them.

anyway, I went in this morning and in a block of nest boxes I have pairs sitting 2 eggs each, and the top corner box/ bowl`s eggs were both missing....upon further investigation I found the nest box/bowl directly underneath had 4 eggs in it........

any thoughts anyone, its getting very strange ............

Very strange!! Dumped more eggs yesterday. One nest had 4 in. 1 cock 2 hens I imagine. One loft 12 pairs nest birds out flying plus 12 pairs stock birds. Going to be fun! Some stock were raced to the nest loft last year. They will be back in there to claim their boxes. Oh well, they will figure it out.

Ok, I've read this a couple of times now, and I know how my senior brain works, and I also know how your senior brain works , do you think that you've moved them for some reason and then , just like me forgotten all about it, takes me about 10 seconds to forget what I've done nowdays

is their a cock paired to 2 hens or even 2 hens paired up in the box with 4 eggs ...once I had a squirrel robbing eggs in my loft until I meshed the vents at roof height the gap was only 2 inch....as for the disappearing pigeon it seems mighty strange

Tis strange, even to me David     28363 posts may have something to do with your dilemma there etc thou .
