| i had a woman phone me tonight and asked if she could home westie chicks to a dovecote.i think she probably could but not sure. |

| depends mate if they're flying west they'll be ok, show wests wont a lot bigger and dont fly much!! |

if they are show type she will stuggle its bred out of them to large and not much homing instinct, but worth a try |

| i dont have a clue anything about homing birds to one of these dovecot things if it was me i would home them to a rabbit hutch and just have the dovecot in the middle of the garden and they would probably use it. |

| i think fantails are very easy to home, but when settling birds to a dovecote ive seen then use a big net which goes up and over it which acts basically as an aviery where the birds flutter around inside the netted area and go in and out of the dovecote..........dont know if this can be done with westies tho as i know even less about them than racing pigeons............. |
