even if a hawk smacks into it and breaks its leg would be anough to kill it as it would die of starvation due to not being able to hunt any thing is worth a go i think

there are quite a few stikes now compared to a couple of years ago Ginge and many of the fanciers seems to get hit quite a lot over here i think im one of the lucky 1s realy i live next to the resivour and ive only had the one strike think the hawks and bops prefer the ducklings as they are easy prey also i have marsh harriers and honey buzzerds that fly around home so keep them at bay i think A few years ago i read somewhere that the big grunter pigeons were use to fly with the racers on excersie and that the hawks and bops thought it was another bop or hawk and wouldnt go near but how true this is i dont know

I have seen the hen perigrine every day this week, she has passed my loft heading to the estuary every day around the same time, leaving the poor cock to sit the eggs, cause hes a bit pethitic at hunting compared to her. Everyone within a 7 mile radius of me is getting smashed now daily, not a sparrow hawk to be seen though they are back in the woods.

Well its something us welsh lads have to put up with sadly, I can tell you a story and its true, last week when it was windy I was talking to a mate in the garden when I heared a skylark singing, when I looked up I saw the skylark singing high up and it was being chaised by a sparrow hawk, I watched it trying to get away for as long as I could see it then lost sight. Not sure if it survived but thats 1 for the rspb, skylarks that are getting rare coming here to breed and geting eaten by raptors, thats why everythin is becoming rare not global warming or farming.
