dont think it a big problem in our area dont have much bother with them so its down to money and lack of interest

i think that is a valid point there, reading in the journals it seems some areas are more effected than others.......but as they point out, its only a matter of time before they are more widespread and more fanciers will have major problems.

its getting bad in our area see hawks everyday, i change times daily letting y/bs out early morning mid morn noon mid afternoon late just before it starts getting dark

theres a fancier near me steve who lets his birds out every evening as its coming dusk.....maybe its his way of keeping them safe against hawks?

most days after 5pm for about 20 minutes haws full by then hopefully, wide open grass compound next to a big grass field cut by council, very open for hawks, then houses behind lofts to sneak through, they come from different directions so have to keep a good lookout but i have 10inch scraper on a brush handle with me all time in front of loft, practicing golf swing

just been reading an article on ronnie williamson of portadown northern ireland, got some great results and pigeons.........his advise to new starters is "its no good b uying names,by all means go out and buy the pigeons which take your fancy, but base your choice on performance" which i think is good advise...........
