| ive not darken down as yet and im same moulting yb ... going to start today .... but with 4 other flyers around me all darken down 2-3 weeks ago and they all got sickness and way they going on about keeps putting me off and then flyer next door keeps saying fly natural for me first year ... |

| Phil if u want to save ur birds for next year u will get about 3 races out of them before they fall to bits, but if you want to fly the full youngbird programme they will need to go on the darkness . natural youngbirds will do the programme but the will not compete as they will be too heavy into a natural moult Ken |

| Well I have a question for you dark lads...My attic loft is very warm and very light Its like a green house, but not hot and lots of air, but the sky lights in the sun areblinding, my youngsters are not flying yet been weened a fortnight and they are moulting around the head, feathers everywhere just like darkness, some have lots of spikes around the head ...never seen that before in such young pigeons, only 6 weeks old? |

| theres enough polycarbonate on wifes greenhouse to cover racing loft roof, enough wire netting in hedges to stop dog getting out to do front of loft, worth thinking about and doing |
