| how many pigeons have you had this year return hawked from loft fly, training, racing we have had 6 out of 23 ybs and 8 old birds that were either trained or raced ...its a high percentage 20% when you consider the ones that have not returned and this is in 12 races so 1 bird every other race returning injured due to birds of prey ...just wondered about other members ...any info lads would be great ie how many birds raced or trained ...how many races and how many strikes then I can work on a percentage....we just had another yb back hawked from yesterdays race that's 2 from that race alone |

| nope your not alone, daily thing for me, started with 33, down to 19 now, lost 4 racing, 2 training, rest off the kit, sparrow hawk the majority but had 4 peregrines over house last Monday and lost 1 that day, that bird had 5 races so assuming she went to peregrine |

On average here O/S very few come back hawked etc. For me, it's barb wire fences & high tension power lines/cables which cause me more of a concern for the most part as I mostly/mainly toss into head winds etc here & they find them in an abundance the way they track on the way home from a toss. ***** |
