A fancier name, Mark Lyford, wrote an article in the sports publications regarding the possibilities for the future of the sport, although I disagree that money may be the saviour he at least has the guts to have a go at doing something.

He apparently has the right connections to at least make a reasonable attempt at getting the sport out of it's
apathetic state and is willing to listen to others, maybe a glimmer of hope.

Just hope he gets some backing.

    Regards.

people are not coming into pigeon racing, because they are more interested in playing video games, on their phones or computers, worrying about loosing their jobs or homes ..........new houses beig built with covenants denying the keeping of livestock etc .

there is no way back sadly ..........

Just wish, David, that I could disagree with you.

Unfortunately, I feel we have left it far too late to move with the times.

Take all your points along with the manner in which the sport is portrayed suggests you need a fortune to become involved.

As I said many moons ago whilst attempting to get some sense into the sport, WOULD I BE TEMPTED TO BECOME INVOLVED WERE I A YOUNG LAD OF 8 YEARS OLD TODAY?.

    Regards.

that's right misty, too many other things to interest any future fanciers, I suppose many years ago when there was a pigeon loft in every street there wasn't all these options, and very little or no television.........also no restrictions, anyone could keep them, now we have to have permission from the council or other self appointed authorities.
