| Hope you enjoy it lads, hope you also have a boat, been a flood problem for a few weeks, feel sorry for those involved, perhaps a few ducks and other water birds will add to the visit.
Regards. |

| Great day, place was busiest I ever seen it, something for everyone I suppose. Got some ideas for perches and nest boxes, some nice lofts on display . Only down side was the high prices for food and drinks, rip off but you know you're captive once you get in there. |

| no problem colin, been taking the loft down today, got most of it in the garden .......floor ply was rotten because its been up 2 years with no roof on, but joists were tanalised so thats still ok, everything is wet but will be ok once the lofts up and the roof on .
so will buy new ply for the floor, and then its a matter of nestboxes and perches........sounds easy but a lot of work when i think about it, never fitted roof tiles, so a good time to learn i suppose . |

| We got one from that Bateman sale. He done the auction well to be honest, he didn't mess about which was much better. Samuels auction takes to long and you get bored |

he got broken into and some birds were stolen ...what and how many only he would know ...then the sale, cracking results racing but was told he trains twice daily on widowhood whether that's gospel i don't know but he worked hard with his pigeons ,but I did hear he was moving to Thailand atb with the bird lads |

| A little bit discrepancy in the one we got on the pedigree. It says it's a Belgium yb but it was bred in this country as he had the parents because the mother to it got stolen from his loft . Also it said it come to win 4 times but on the last race it had it didn't register and he said it was his 2nd bird. So if so it didn't come to win . Sometimes they trip themselves up. But it's just a bit worrying when buying birds if not being 100 % truthful. Then again how many are ?

| pedigrees and results are sometimes only as good as the man who wrote them .........on the whole, who goes and checks results, and how can you check the results most of the time ...? |

| There has always been fanciers willing to overestimate the pigeons they wanted to sell.
Not only race wise but also parentage, the latter has been resolved by genetics the latter will always be dependant on the honesty of the fancier.
No fancier will sell what he/she feels worth keeping.
Exchange and gift are the best methods with young birds.
Alternatively a stud of repute, also young birds.
Regards. |
