| What works for you? Once a day, twice a day, hopper fed? Minus 4 outside now, need some good grub in them through cold winter nights would be my way. Measured amount a.m. then fed full as much as they want an hour before dark would be my choice. |

| we give 1/4 ounce morning birds always at the doors for their brekkie ...depurative with groats added and a few pellets added also...then main feed about 3pm of a breeding mix with added depurative about 20% you can tell when they have had enough they will leave the barley its always about an ounce per bird they take from the hopper...all hoppers emptied after feed ,let them eat well ...plenty time to slim down before pairing. 2 weeks of depurative before pairing up ,handled a few yesterday they seem well atb |

| I think twice, if not hopper feeding. Maize/hemp or such added to heat their' blood in cold snaps and days... Night draws in and gets cold. |

| Always used the same method as I believe David did, same all the year round with only small seed varying at different times.
The mix I used included most grains.
