hi phil, i parted my ybs during the racing season because they were paired up and wouldnt exercise around home.........i changed their feed also and when i let them out a couple of days later the hens flew for over 2 hours, the cocks didnt fly as long as that but did fly for 45 mins, needless to say i will be racing ybs next year seperated from weaning. |

| yes phil, i think this is what ill do next season......loosiing birds is part and parcel of racing im afraid but what he has left should be the best ones (i know good birds do get lost tho). i think ybs do need plenty of exercise and if they are paired up they wont want to know about flying round home.....i think next season ill either try the roundabout with them or just let them run together before basketting, altho i have been told this can make them too excited and they could get lost......but each to their own i suppose. |

| i think if you could get them on roundabout it would be good and would get some good results, ive been told there are some fanciers who specialise in yb racing and try alsorts of different ideas/methods to motivate them to do well..........one thigs for certain tho, i will definately seperate the ybs again next season and do the dark system properly. |
