| Being a learner on this machine thought I would have a look around.
Heard Shaun Mc Donough was to have an auction of all his birds and thought I would have a look on the Pipa auctions.
Mark Gilbert has 29 pigeons on the site, so far 30,000 Euros bid.
No doubt some last ditch bids will increase the amount.
As well as no doubt private sales made not a bad little business as well as the enjoyment from the sport.
One can see why prospective new fanciers do not bother to look any further.
Perhaps Mc Donough has the right idea getting out before the bubble bursts.
Regards..

Well Misty let me put you right Shaun is a good friend of mine and you will not find a more genuine and hard working fancier than Shaun There is not many like Shaun win or lose he always has a smile on his face and he is always the first one to shake hands to the winner of any race he flies in Shaun has a young family works full time and puts 110% into his birds he also has a lot off help from his dad Tony Tony is not in good health and the family have had to make decision too reduce the work load so the decision has come to sell the stock and race birds and rethink how they are going to race next season. Hope this helps you Misty |

| Don, never in any respect said or meant that your friend was anything but a good fancier and genuine.
I was pointing out the sport is going to the detriment of any prospective new fancier.
The pigeons Mark has presently on the site are all last years young birds.
Any fancier is aware that very few in ANY loft prove to be any good at anything.
The prices being offered only within the means of very few who will no doubt sell their young based on the performances of those Mark raced and retained, never themselves seeing a racing panier.
This has been going on for many years to the over all detriment of the sport.
I think a Chinese chap is bidding for many.
As said no offence meant to Mark and trust his health improves.
Regards.

| WOOPS< wrong person Don.
Thought you meant Mark Gilbert.
Only mentioned Shaun because there was a pamphlet in the BHW regarding his impending sale, which raised my interest.
Shaun looks my kind of guy, down to earth and a grass root fancier.
Hope his sale goes well no doubt actual performance and proven breeders will be on offer.
Different scenario.
Regards.

| Just had another look at the pamphlet and the photographs of some of the birds and realised just what caught my interest.
Some of the eyes would make an enthusiast swoon.
Could not understand anyone wanting to part with them when comparatively a young fancier.
Can understand health comes first and the ability to cope, know the feeling well myself.
Hope this clears up how I feel.
Regards. |

| The lemon scenario Knackered leaves a bitter taste in ones mouth.
But as you imply the whole world has gone bonkers.
Cannot see any prospect of matters improving, there appears a total lack of any even reasonable world leaders, never mind any that can deal with the present world situation.
ROLL ON.

| Just had a look in at Shaun's auction, appears to have a good start Don.
Some very good pigeons on offer not some of the usual cast offs.
Hope he has the success he deserves.

| Some good news, the Hoosier Loft has been re built and ready for the 2020 OLR.
Sad news the culprit, culprits, not been found.

| First time I have looked in on the PIPA auction site when looking at Gilberts auction then got very interested in Shaun's.
Some appear to be doing reasonably well but hope some offers improve, think part of the problem being so many at the same time.
What I cannot understand Don how potential purchases make their choices and value them.
On Gilberts auction an apparent Chinese person, think he must be an Agent , appears to be making all the highest offers.
The next few days may be interesting.
Regards.
