| Think more people will have to do some home baking if those doing it now for the commercial boys are unfortunate regarding the virus, also shop staff, think matters will get far worse before improving.

| Just tried to for a few hours to order on line Knackered, no chance, they are inundated with orders.
Plenty of food, distribution the problem and the hoarders are not helping.
On the other hand if one has the ingredients there are thousands of dishes shown on our tellies, every other programme is about baking or cooking and has been for a few years, think the programmes are cheap to make, they must have covered every possible recipe by now, a dozen times over, and every other programme is a repeat, or at least 90% of them.
Regards.

| Well! I certainly am not wanting to be a smarty arse. Yet looking back at, and in regards to the past World War years, I feel many a leaf could be taken on board. The uses and merits that helped in such time. Again, wife says I must have been starved as a kid etc. lol. Maybe a little truth there. But 1955 - 1960 is regarded as the best living, food-wise in regards healthy and condition of our bodies. Indeed!
O.K. as the head of my house, home, it is my responsibility to look after my wife and our loved ones. Hence I had been building a stock up over the last few years. A little here and there like. Yes getting ready for now, and much more, and the worse to come. Before this Coronavirus, I often bragged that I/We wouldn't need to go out for at least three months or more. Yes, three or four, weeks ago, I did stock up a little for my daughter. She is a deserted wife with three kids. Her ex is pure scum,! But that matters not, I am obviously, committed and pleased to be so. A son, he that recovered well from the coma said to me, at that time 'Dad' I will go and buy £200/£300 of food for her. Or whatever she wants. Mainly tins, etc.! Now that is a commitment. I said 'We will sort that out as and when'. Another son, a flooring supplier, and fitter says 'I will be an all right dad'—all of his jobs having been put on hold.
Now I have few 20 litre Deiseal cans. In a short time from now, fuel will come down a lot in price. I will fill them up then. Afterwards, the fuel prices will rocket, I fear. A. to get back their' losses. B. then they will leave the prices of fuel at a rip off rate, cashing in! Yes! The Government will turn a blind eye. So, being a soothsayer, I try and edge my welfare to a possible level playing field. Yes, the cans will run out of fuel Yes the food stocks - I haven't bought in any significant amounts of extra food etc. A few bottles of whiskey and my chocolate bars granted lol—Will diminish. Many of you will remember the 'Price war' regards tin food, Beans, tomatoes etc. I was away from the wife at the time and getting a divorce. Beans at 2p a tin! I bought 200—tomatoes at threepence a tin likewise I bought 200. Similarly, other tins. I stacked them and put a worktop upon them in the kitchen. Joyce, now my good wife used to visits etc. She and others would walk in a take my dog for a walk. I left the back door always open as when a Freind or family member called, and I wasn't there they could make themselves a sandwich and a cuppa. Well, I wasn't actually courting Joyce at the time! One day I walked in and thought something was amiss. It dIdn't dawn on me straight off. But Joyce had decided on cleanup and threw them all away! said 'I saw a tin going rusty, so just chucked them out! I still give Joyce a red face in that regards from time to time. No! I still can't believe it lol. |

| Always have a few tins of beans, soup and tomatoes in hand Daz, easy meal to fall back on.
Along with tinned fruit etc;
Not a lot but enough to last until one can make other arrangements if things go wrong, like now.

| Joyce's' Mum and Dad loved it. Tripe, my dad too. I certainly didn't. Now a good friend, a fellow fancier run his Father in Laws Butcher's shop. Father in law was a very good fancier.
Now I would travel to his shop nigh every week. For tripe. Nigh green with grass. Stunk to high heavens. Before, tripe sold, was washed and bleached! Dog loved it. It certainly put them at the top of health for sure. |

| Nothing better than a bit of tripe, just vinegar on and away we go.
Cannot get it around here now.
Beggars could not be choosers in many a day gone by.
But would certainly still have it were it available.
