your right ian, especially if you have a few birds....although as you have said they are interchangable between your birds...

yes you can reuse them on different birds

is your ets one of those that is always wanting updating ian, ive read about some that are always needing it.....or have they sorted all the problems out now ?

david there not problems just making it better it like updating your computer

oh, right.....now i understand, though they were problems with them working and maybe going wrong.... at least my local club all use clocks so there will be no arguing.....

the only faults were due to human error not knowing the best way to set up teething problems

do the clocksetters just learn by trial and error or do they get training so to speak....

when the system first came out there were several demostration held in different parts of the north east so you could attend to learn the system

all your club use the same system dont they ian, bet its a nightmare if everyones using different ones.

you cant really use different ets systems have to have the same the whole fed use unikon

so if our club said members could use ets would we all have to get the same one ?

dont suppose they could tell you to use a certain type but you would have to get different software for different systems so it would be costly and awkward changing from one system to another because there not compatible

but you hear about fanciers prefering certain makes and what would they do then ?

you couldnt do it david you would have to agree on one system , have a vote

ian, know its chhanging the subject but....what "call" do you have to get your birds in after exercise or racing ? corn tin ? whistle ?

i use both and on race day i use trapper fantail hen

was reading the other day that a fancier uses a whistle to get them to trap.....when he takes them training there is no one at home to get them in for him so he leaves a tape playing at home in the garden and when the birds come home they hear it and go into the loft where they find the tray out with corn in it......any thoughts ?

yes as good as anything if it works then great
