Strange that. I just mentioned this this morning, saying 'some changed racing to a Saturday marking to race Sunday.. They maybe wishing they hadn't'! Mind I feel it might well still be a better day. Tuesday looks best though! |

Yearlings won't like the east wind. Well none really! Will certainly take the edge off for a while etc. We used to just send the old old bird in East was forecasted. Yes I know many do, and did send yearling's ... |

| Losing 3 minutes oldstrain does not help.
All in the game, if everything went right all the time one would get bored.
4th band 5th better than 6th and 7th and leaves room for improvement.
On the whole well done.
Regards. |

| Sods Law redrog.
Weeks of good weather no racing, then this.
One way to look at it, things can only get better and we secondly we are able to race.
Hope all return.

| Aye, when the wing has east, it's no good to man or beast! as true today as it has always been I say. Back in the day, especially, when the East was forecasted the fed struggled to get any amount of birdage.
'Why risk a disaster, lose birds, or ruin my season sending them' was the cry. As was told, especially seeing a fancier sending a dozen, ' With a smug laugh saying 'There goes his season.
For instance, clubs here about, were 2 Corby over 40 members (one nearly 50). Irthingborough over 40 members. Rushden 2 clubs over 40 members, Raunds nearly 50 members. Oundle the same etc. with other smaller clubs. But less then 200 would be sent. Mostly a old birds or so … Just to keep them in the Averages. Which was why I never sent first race in the main.. would scratch a race early altogether, so I would stress the birds trying to win an average. Yes did sent all races some time, by paid heed to the adage Mny a good bird sent and lost chasing an average. A race too much etc.
