| Tried to get a pic but no deal. Bald headed eagles fly over daily now. Couple of older ones (white heads) 3 young, dark heads. Cannot be sure but beleive an Eagle owl is around. Couple of half eaten Cooper hawks in the field. Have some birds with claw marks in their backs, assume it was hawks or falcons. 30 plus pigeons going out tomorrow. Friend of mine will pick them up. Reds, whites and regular colours. Free of course. Have to cut down. |

| As said previously, you are well blessed with wild life.
They are hard to spot but just shows the lovely area you enjoy.
It was suggested that we introduce Eagle Owls.
The raptors lovers who have introduced several species of raptors that are killing our pigeons objected saying they were not a natural species (having themselves introduced foreign species) because they would kill the lesser raptors.
Alright for their introductions to decimate our bird species but not one that could keep the other raptors in check.
Regards. |
