birds up at 10.39 in a light westerly wind from ilkeston ,

be interested to see who wins this one ........

Birds up at 6.45. Short end up at 8 am. 100 miler and 60. Slight tail wind. Thunderstorms about 11 am. 26 C.

yeah, true i suppose mark, in previous years comments were made about me buying a lot of rings for birds i bred to sell.........seems others have upped their breeding numbers for racing too.

all makes for exciting racing eh

MMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmm more about education from my end here etc David maybe. Was only a toss from my perspective even our 2 little champs here went 70 odd miles for their first race .

London club sent 200 plus short end. 1 guy sent 53. Not uncommon. 1 member sent 20 and won it. 1500 plus. Other clubs not posted yet.

Tend to agree on that one etc easy to be judgemental but they are racing pigeons on the whole, I would hope & serve little purpose sitting & looking nice on a perch type of thing. Also if one is honest most are done by the time they get to 300 odd miles I'm         when looking at the rings sold to pigeons that actually fly past the 400 mile stage . Now for those that may just think I'm wrong on average here in what I say, please do a body count as such over the last 10 years type of thing & then maybe 'just tell me I'm wrong       .

i agree that if youve got them, they have to go ........its the breeding of large numbers to compete against flyers who dont breed / race large numbers im meaning .

ive realised that a lot of fanciers dont tell the full facts about how many they breed, they may only get 20, 30 rings from the club, but when the race results come out weekly they tend to be racing a lot of rings which arnt our club rings .......

so who knows how many they are breeding .

One can have a fantasy type moment that pigeon racing is equal to all I suspect David but I suggest it's total bollocks if one is truthful these days & when all things are considered on average.

Truthful sense and logic Knackered.
You won't ever see a good fancier move to the East.
But I know 4 who moved well East. Became friends. Then fell out. Constantly STILL moving a little further East most years YES all of them.

Mine overall for most winds etc. I'd say, personally, Lincoln was a good location.
