Great time of year in the loft. Always throws surprises this time of year, coming through moult something you never really noticed starts to stand out, nailed on hens suddenly roaring and spinning wanting to fight become nailed on cocks, 10 cocks 10 hens one day, 14 cocks 6 hens the next day, smokey blues become 3 shades lighter. Hope the weather holds fresh and bright and the low cloud drizzle and east winds stay away till end flights are up.

Finally split mine yesterday. Rain and wind here. Why we have wind turbines. Leftover plastic from window sealing will now be hung inside door of cocks loft. 2 flew out yesterday over my head and went to their original loft. They are all looking feeling good. 9 white hens, 3 white cocks in the mix.

Yes plenty of feathers coming away still and as you say cocks turn to hens hens turn to cocks a few more weeks before you can be 100 percent on what you have
