glad to hear alls going well for you edgie, my first eggs have just hatched today so will be a whie before they go to their new homes.........could you tell me if you use a corn mix already prepared or make your own up for breeding ? |

glad to hear alls going well for you edgie, my first eggs have just hatched today so will be a whie before they go to their new homes.........could you tell me if you use a corn mix already prepared or make your own up for breeding ? david i use what i have to hand at the time, a 4 season mix or a good widowhood mix, to this i will add a good breeding mix, also add one third horse beans if i have them, if not dont matter, i start to feed this mix at around 5 days old that is when they need the protien to promote the growth, i give them the canary egg food for the first week of there life, it helps to make soft food for the old birds to give to the babies, dont forget minerals and grit fresh every day its a must, hope this helps. |
