| Marvellous craftsmanship when you think about it, right down to the wooden carrying box and all the corner joints. I imagine all hand made, big difference with today's systems. |

| yes colin , mass produced nowadays ......all the joints probably done by hand on these toulets , i remember the first clock i ever had when i started in the early 80`s, a 10bird toulet bought off a club member for around 30 quid i think.......only used it a few times and it wasnt much good, hence the new stb quartz investment . |

| Brings back memories.
Never used one myself but set hundreds.
Still have one in good condition, will look number up when I think where it is.
Story how I came by it.
Fancier whose photo appears at times in the BHW approached me to see if he could purchase a loft that was on an allotment I got to grow veg.
So as it was no good to me my loft being in the garden I said he could have it for next to nothing.
He took the loft and a knock on the door saw him stood there with the clock in his hand and half the agreed price, pushed both into my hands and said, " Thats it".
Every time I see him I think That's Him.
Regards. |

| Mine was also an old toulet. Cost £30. My father's was a Sky Master. Cost £1:5p. Dad bought it on tick from Littlewoods catalodge, at an extra shilling. 21 shillings. |
