Good Evening

It was a waiting game this morning with the weather but it cleared and got them away just after 11am up together.

They broke into about 5 groups some of the groups cleared well and some took there time.

Anything after position 914th won’t go training tomorrow as that is when i sectioned off the late arrivals bay.

If the weather is suitable tomorrow will go to the 23 mile point they probably will have two trainers here then hopefully on Thursday or Friday the 30 mile point.

Will update tomorrow evening.

seems to be moving them very quick suddenly, i wonder why so many short tosses at the begining ?

apparently it was a bad toss today....still over 100 ybs missing and plenty came late ,thankfully our 2 made it

A horror story unfolding before our very own eyes here etc I suggest sadly O/S Jeremy's crystal ball there isn't working somehow I suspect as the 914 bird has slept the night out there it appears along with many other of his loft partners as such. Now could quite easy rant on here with waffle but a bit pointless maybe if Jeremy has reached the stage now, of tragically using a crystal ball type scenario to be his saviour in a pigeon sense.

well my crystal ball says 42% of the entries have perished in one sense or another and we are yet to finish training after 18 tosses we were still at 11 mile stage
now into toss 23 on the home front training is done and dusted after 12 tosses ...i just cant work it out but then when you recall the yearling scenario it all comes together eh

back on the road today apparently ,23 miles again ....at least 2x30 mile tosses and 1x40 miles toss before 1st hotspot so we wont see a race next week eh

Both home again O/S taking 20 odd tosses etc but at last their finely coming like race pigeons should as such there .

yes oz i noticed they seem to be getting there act together lets hope they can stay in the game

Fingers crossed they get some races before the weather turns and nights draw in,
up against it a bit now.

Hope so etc O/S But after what Jeremy said after the previous toss debacle I'm I'm more confused here now than ever as such. Rest day for those after bird 844 apparently by his words in the blog, but what do I find here when doing the old Sherlock trick, because the numbers didn't quite look right here by my thinking process many/most of the later ones from the previous toss went back again after a very short rest in the loft there apparently Now applying no pressure here to Jeremy & Co but local OLR here this weekend are apparently having their first race for the season after about 15 tosses up to around 150 odd miles from around 230 odd miles & because the borders here have now been shut because of the corona virus issue, the birds will now be taking 100 odd miles off line to the west of where they have all be trained so far to hopefully fly over 200 miles of unknown type territory. Now     2nd Now etc           Found another Lilly type, as such     But       its a cock would you believe, unfortunately       1st bird home in the toss with Jeremy, quick trapper it appears like my Lilly here till she went down in a ball of flames sadly in the end. Appears he has been in the first 10 there 3 or 4 to this stage. So credit due     where credit due to the pigeon by my way of thinking down here    .  

Training tosses. What a Joke. Sad but true.
Why?! For fitness, or teach them a way home lol! Both ludicriss. A circle aroung the loft is over a quarter of mile!
They roam over land 60 miles circles or more! At least.

Then one says 'best we teach them to know, what we have no idea about. Not even a INKLING. gOSH, TALK ABOUT GETTING REAL! wAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE... tHE o.l. concern would even thing about buying any coffee! Just saving and making money I fear, whilst spouting rubbish trying to convince some 'Fool Hardy' lot that they are doing right by the fanciers, Plus their birds.
What rot. What spupidity! Can one even - really - believe such twaddle?!

Trouble is DAZ the present day fanciers know very little of what works, they take notice of the rot spouted by those making fools out of the ordinary fancier spouting a load of rubbish, the only way they win is by advantage.

The loft manager has only the young birds to deal with all day.

Would be far better feeding them out and giving them open loft.

Nothing whatsoever gained by short tosses and then fastening them up.

Me thinks, FIASCO FROM START TO FINISH.

sorry but the faith went for me when liberating the yearlings 5 minutes before cut off time for a liberation ....someone did not fancy a return trip i have visited the lofts on numerous occassions but next time i have a few questions of my own to
ask ,lets face it lads its not any of the organisers dosh getting thrown away is it now

like you oz i look in on a regular basis to keep on top of the numbers factor but it never adds up,maybe a few beads are missing on the rpra one loft abacus i for one am not being fooled in fact i am devising a letter for the one loft committee with some questions to be answered ,if they want to run around the bush then so be it

should maybe just be like the general flock as such etc O/S don't      think/wonder/calculate just be brain dead & expect/except the general waffle/spin that flows out there, as the truth the whole truth & nothing but the truth as such in a pigeon sense .

O/L/R up down here etc O/S. 800 odd birds apparently & they are doing, by Benzing etc 33,333 metres per minute if they somehow landed now to be clocked as such    .

let us know of the returns oz and how the race goes in general i like to compare i have already started to write down some comparisons of several one loft races atb

All I can say is here O/S don't cry etc     as your in for some rather grim reading there going on what I have read down here in general Now on the local issue same old type story, maybe in a OLR sense first hour or so they fell in as expected, after that thou on average it was one a minute type of thing till nightfall & after as such. End the day as I speak here now, 70 odd % home, so could maybe in some ways have been a total disaster here taking them all well off track as done because of the border closure issue, but the smart ones somehow fortunately figured out what they had to do for a feed & a rest on a perch, before they all front up once again for the next race here at around 300 odd miles for the sheer enjoyment factor .  

well if they got 70% from over 200 miles when taken on anew route/direction to what they have been trained on ...then i think its not a bad show ,our final is 260 so i just wonder how far the oz one loft final is

Next race there is 300 miles etc O/S & what comes back from that one will then front up once again for a 350 miler type moment for the final race. Turned out hard going for the late ones here O/S  I'm 3rd day here with 200 still missing & a grand total today sadly of only 3 from that 200 odd turned up apparently for a feed & a well earned rest scenario by night fall .

thanks forthe up-date oz looks like a tough one for them young uns but all said and done 70% aint bad from a 200 mile yb race if i sent 20 and got 14 which is about the same percentage it would be a fair show in a difficult race eh atb

Certainly tough going for the later ones etc O/S Was not surprised here with the ordinary type returns on the Sunday, because the conditions were so bad at the time. Yesterday thou I was scratching my head I'm as I thought more than 3 would have somehow turned up by nightfall with the improved weather conditions here yesterday overall.

Ridiculous to have losses or even late comers from that distance.

Can see neither sense nor reason in so many short tosses and in particular when
we are aware have something untoward going on.

Cannot keep blaming raptors.

At least we have our two, with a bit of luck they may be in the final.

absolutely un believable .........so how many left in the yb team out of 1,500 ?

this is a shambles, i dont know if it is purposely done to reduce numbers, or total incompetance ........
