Come across this a few times.

RPRA Rules say fancier must arrange for the pigeons return, or alternative acceptable solution.

Best bet under the prevailing circumsances is for the nearest fancier to the finder to be informed and pick the pigeon up and go from there.

In these trying times common sense should be applied.

Know all the aurguments, should not kerp pigeons if etc; etc/ if ?????.

Rergards..

Shame, but we know not what our much loved feathered friends have to contend with at times.

Credit to you Rainbow Smile Smile but may I just say bounce bounce your to kind etc Wink Wink in not naming & shaming the owner as such bounce bounce as that is what he deserves I suggest. Once drove 480 odd miles here (round trip) for one of mine, so have no time for excuse type makers like the one you had to deal with I'm affraid. cheers

Tis a good thing the sport has those willing to put themselves out for the good of the sport.

Just curious rainbow how you became involved.

The owner is in breach of the Rules and should not keep our feathered friends.

In our area the Whitby boys have for years returned thousands of strays.

Of course fanciers should help each other but when the public is involved it is not a good representation of the sport to just refuse to accept responsibility.

Regards.

Ok Smile Smile But Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes if your RPRA there etc knows him by name Rainbow, they should shame him I suggest Very Happy Very Happy & when they have done that bounce bounce they should then give him a hefty fine as a remembrance type token, maybe  Wink  Wink . cheers

thats the thing george, the bird was good enough to breed, and good enough to send racing, yet when it gets lost its not good enough to send for or collect .......i know some fanciers says they cant afford to send for them back, but why breed and send them, if you cant afford to do things properly they shouldnt be racing pigeons .

i thought under rpra rules they had a responsibility to retrieve the bird or face suspension .

Silly question etc David Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes maybe bounce bounce by someone that knows absolutely nothing. But Smile Smile why doesn't your RPRA there, have a business arm picking up strays in general. Tens of thousands reported there each year I suspect somehow & surely that maybe could be turned into a business type enterprise for your general member's advantage come race day. cheers
