ybs next season

Always gave me great joy to make another fanciers day by giving them pigeons that enabled them to win and breed winners.

Listed some time ago some of the fanciers whose dreams I helped to come true pigeon wise.

Unforetunately one or two let me down by selling them after winning and breeding winners.

with me not in a club i lost touch with fanciers i give birds to

i suppose pigeon fancying / keeping is different for those heavily involved with other fanciers, it keeps the interest alive ........for me i only have proper contact with 2 local fanciers, a man and his grandson, who i have known for many years, and who i would call friends, regardless of us being pigeon fanciers in the same club.

when i collected a stone bench during the week, the man was a pigeon fancier, we had a chat for around 45 mins to an hour, but he was heavily involved with racing and to be honest the talk was above my knowledge or involvement with pigeons.

im happy in my own little world ....

Some people can make the most simple matter complicated.

Pigeon fanciers with commercial interests are a prime example.

Nothing complicated about pigeon racing.

Keep as near to nature a possible and ignore all the experts, they are the ones who try to tell you how to solve the problems they have caused.

Your right there about one loft racing our 3 went missing. Last one in semi final. Total disaster

Maybe tell the lads what birds you have . Sprint , distance. Breeds ect . It might help

i'm only breeding of raced birds from now on and as i still have to bring more cocks in not sure what i will have

if i can get an extension built for next season i might just race some ybs, but unless the price of wood comes down it wont be happening .

Would certainly add an interest for the members David, and if the peel bros tried some of George and Morgans would give weekly interest in the racing season rather than the infutiating antics in the OL fiascos.

yes i`d like to misty, two things would be a stumbling block though, firstly the price of wood at the moment, and who knows if it will ever come down, nothing usually does .......and secondly something you touched on a few months ago, that i cant do both properly, that being breeding to sell and racing .........

to do things properly and fully committed it would have to be one or the other

WOOD David, send a lumberjack over, Beech, Silver Birch and fir all on offer, on cut your own basis.

Plenty of free hardwood in my valley here etc cartage factor could maybe be an issue thou .

On average, on a hiding to nothing etc Ray I suspect/suggest when one perhaps enters these type races. A few may in the end live the dream but mostly most end up asking why, why oh why I suspect in the end    .
