colin, i have a hydraulic table lift, you pump it up with your foot, then pull a lever to lower it down again, i havnt used it for a while and i think air has got into the system so it only raises half way .....ive tried looking on you tube how to bleed them but cant find any info on them .

David at a guess it will be one of the plugs on the lower part of the cylinder, if there,s another plug half way up the cylinder body this will likely be the fill level. Might just need some hydraulic oil added? Looks brand new.

thats not actually mine colin, i just put a photo up of the same type .......mine is a new one the wife bought me for christmas last year, but ive not used it much due to one thing or another and i think air has got into the system or fluid needs topping up .

i think you could be right about those plugs and fluid topping up .....

David it's exact same principal as car trolley jack, just got a table on the top as opposed to a plate. Loads of youtube videos showing how to bleed a car trolley jack

0c mostly sunny .......was freezing this morning, drinkers frozen over .......

Took half an hour to defrost car, wish had turned outhouse into garage years ago.

Looks like matters may get worse, not worried for me but makes getting Misty out not very pleasant.

Still we grumbled at the heat wave.

yes was freezing here this morning misty, brightened up during the day ......come cold again now but will be taking our dog out shortly around the block.

fell asleep early last night and woke up at 2.00am this morning, we went around the block for her nightly walk, i couldnt let her down ........

was lovely and quiet .

covering of snow and below freezing, but clear sky and sunshine. Great day for pottering in the shed, started fitting new hen boxes but taking longer than planned, plus car in for an MOT stopped the job earlier.

-6 this morning it was -5 yesterday and it has just said snow coming

It's cold alright . Pleased we have a wood burner in the cabin aa couldn't cope lol

i just put my heating on yesterday for first time as working outside and needed to come indoors for some heat back outside to-day

had to bring drinkers into the house and boil some water think to-night will bring drinkers into the house about 4-00pm

next 5 days frost each day Wednesday city -5 means we in the country will be -7

colder than yesterday but sunny. No thaw, still covering of snow I'll have a couple of hours doing bits and pieces in loft but that'll be all.

even with it being this cold the birds seem happy enough

don't think i will be doing much work outside to-day just checked on the drinkers and one has frozen solid since this morning

cold here today, nipped out for a while earlier and it snowed for a few minutes then stopped .......still cold now, wouldnt be surprised if we got more snow .
