| Sorry me again with another novice question, what do you all suggest to use for the floor of a loft? |

| I've used 18 mill ply om mine Jon, I used 8x4 sheets of normal ply but found out after a while the layers were coming up when scraping out.... I should have used marine ply.
What I will do now is cover it in thin chipboard which has been good in the past as far as cleaning out goes.
I'd use something strong and thick to deter rodents, my loft is 18 inch off the ground with 3x2 concrete flags under it to stop burrowing etc |

| 1 inch thick T&G floorboards, you can cover with 12mm ply making scraping out easier, change the ply if and whenever needed in future. |

| Thanks for the replies, How long roughly are you getting out of the ply before you need to replace it? |

My mistake oldstrain, I had concrete floor and used the Sadolin on the superstructure not the floor, also know many that used creasote ?before they took the goodness out of it. Regards. |

| Yes misty, tried buying creosote a couple of years ago when I built my new loft, couldn't get it anywhere .....only thing I could get was something they were calling creosote which was nothing like the original,
Same as jays fluid they have changed to mixture of that too, and it's rubbish .... |
