mmmmmmmm confused why all of a sudden eh ,imo its been far too cushty at the rpra offices akin to a holiday camp hence why we are in the mire, not that its the fault of the lady retiring but who does the hiring and firing at the rpra who makes the final decision or is it made by a majority vote by the board ,now that would explain why theres 3 vice presidents and a president eh ,plenty of voting power Wink

Anyone can retire and access their company/private pension from the age of 55.
Sounds good but in reality you lose around 5% a year for every year you pack in early.
Normal pension age now is up to 67, so anyone taking early retirement for example at 57 years of age would end up losing 50% of their projected pension, criminal because it's their money end of the day. Money theyve contributed every month that the administrators have managed to get handsome bonuses from regardless of how much the investment returns.
The more you look at company pensions the more you'll find it's a minefield, but the odds are always stacked against anyone retiring early.`

he definitely scored there George, being a week from retirement.

If he'd been 55 at the time he would only have received about half his pension pot.

exactly David, won't be long before the tax free lump sums are scrapped too. Anyone that sets the alarm clock, gets up and does a days work, contributes with tax and NI, works from 16 year old to 67 year old is screwed over in the UK . No wonder there's multiple jobs vacancies can't be filled, mugs game in this country.

That probably will be because you have an annual income above £12570, the tax threshold. Anything you get above this figure you'll pay 20% tax on it. crazy, even when retired they chip away at your hard earned funds.
