just had a look at the link colin, looks like weve got the right man for the job this time, someone who actually knows how things work and is a pigeon fancier, not just a man in a suit .

the thing is david we pay there wages so why cant we decide who gets the jobs ,be very easy to do with every club getting 1 vote through there own voting majority ...we could have 4 candidates and each candidate could air there application online through an interview with whoever does the interviews there ,a live interview online and then we decide who gets the job through majority of club votes ,no doubt someone favourable will be in the hot seat as per usual

Nothing complicated about having INDIVIDUAL voting on all matters.
In the early70s I explained the fact that every proposition that affected the sport could be decided by the majority if the desire was there to do so.
I explained that a club with 8 members could dullyfy the vote of one with 80 members and the deciding vote be by a club with 5 members.
In fact if you counted individual votes the wishes of the possinble 80% majority would be ignored.
There will be one person having most say in my opinion as has been the case for years, until he and his mates are kicked out nothing will change.
Easiest thing in the world for club secretaries to send in individual voting from their clubs to the Regions and them to the Council.
Our sport ha been strangled by self indulgent individuals whose only concern has been being in charge and enjoying trips abroad etc;.
The HALL REPORT should have been a wake up call to the membership but then I'M ALRIGHT JACK.

My suggestions were published several times 35 years before the Hall Report, the report just confirmed what I had said and suggested many times.
The majority of fanciers care about nothing other than being able to race, apathy does not begin to explain it.
Every other sport has progressed, ours still in the Dark Ages.
Unforetunately, with all the other problems arrising it leaves very little chance of it being what it once was.
Commercialism and self indulgency by those that should have moved with the times and moved on to let others take charge periodically also as I suggested has made the sport stagnate beyond redemption.
Over the years I have received hundreds of letters from far and wide with situations that would make you cry and nothing they can do about it because no one cares.
Regards.

Complete farce type scenario etc Misty I suggest as mentioned. Club of 3/4 shouldn't have the same voting power as a club of 20 & a club of 20 shouldn't have the same voting power as a club of 80 type of thing, when decisions are made. Delegate system best in the end from my experience where all equal depending on flyers represented on a proportionate type basis etc.

with my limited experience knackered, i feel that happens a lot when decisions are made regarding a lot of things within the club / fed .
a small number of members making decisions for the many ........usually in matters which favour them selves .

Simple to rort the system I found David if one has that general desire etc. Seen phantom clubs in my time here turn up on voting night as such. but the strange thing is come race day, nowhere to be seen for some strange type reason.
