YBs paired up or seperated.....?

will ybs race better/win paired up or the cocks and hens seperated.....? at the moment mine are mostly paired up and some sat plastic eggs, i was told to seperate them and they will exercise better around the loft and also race better.......

any thoughts anyone please

i heard that aswell david but i leave mine together till the end of race season then seperate em do realy know if it makes any difference

hi rene, "super diet and seperate them" was the advise i was given...........told me paired up ybs even on eggs/ybs will not be as good as seperated birds which have been on dark.

any thoughts?

dont no to be honest mate as soon as they lay second egg i through em away any way but ive never seperated mine before might be worth a try seperating em you never know till you try

its most likely right rene but im afraid im too soft with them and as they seem happy together ill probably leave them paired up...............but ill learn from what ive done wrong this year hopefully.

thats right mate im the same its best if we learn from our own mistake as some thing works for others and not for another thats tha way i look at it anyway i way be wrong in sayin that but there we go

no i totally agree with you rene, if say 6 fanciers are all giving advise it means that it works for them ....but we cant take all the advise because it might not work for us, i think the best thing is to listen and make up your own mind and if it goes wrong try something different next season and learn from your own mistakes.......

ive made plenty of mistakes this yb season rene, some of them have just been silly and avoidable but sometimes i was looking in the wrong direction when i had a problem and making things harder than it needed to be...............

can i join your club mate ive done and im sure others have aswell mate

mistakes are ok if you learn by them arnt they rene, thing that frustrates me is all the time and effort ive put into them since pairing up to weaning then putting them onto the dark and removing covers etc, and then to have them not flying and getting illness it just gets you down as its all been for nothing maybe.........

might surprise you mate and then youl see the good in it
